NEW YORK, September 9, 2020 - VTEX, a multinational tech company that provides a global, fully integrated, end-to-end commerce solution, announced today it is now powering bisco industries’ B2B marketplace in an effort to optimize and support the modern B2B buyer, easing their online experience with a one-stop shop for all of their electronic product needs.
The electronic components and fasteners distributor launched its new B2B marketplace commerce on the VTEX IO platform, a low-code serverless development platform designed to help create scalable, production-ready web applications.
The marketplace will include over 4 million products, 60,000 product attributes, visibility to manufacturer inventory and a user experience optimized to serve the B2B manufacturing supply chain. It also connects the digital buying community with bisco industries’ network of over 400 local sales managers, creating a true collaborative commerce ecosystem, the first of its kind on their industry.
“Today's environment has revolutionized how manufacturers are doing business, so it's important for us to support our customers as best we can to streamline the manufacturing supply chain, saving them time and money, said Zachary Ceiley, EVP, bisco industries. "Our goal here is to provide a best-in-class experience for manufacturing procurement of fasteners, electronic components and hardware. With our new marketplace, end customers get the best price, best product selection and fastest delivery option possible."
The marketplace will enable reduced lead times, expanded product offerings and improved user experience, all while delivering value to the purchasing community on a global scale.
VTEX’s platform allows bisco to have pricing and inventory transparency across the suppliers, the ability to add new products and expand assortment at no extra cost, and gain access to end-customer data — which is critical to understanding end users’ needs and preferences.
“Collaborative commerce business models enabled by marketplaces are becoming much more mainstream in the B2B manufacturing and distribution space, considering the significant benefits they provide,” said Amit Shah, Chief Strategy Officer & U.S. General Manager at VTEX. “By connecting their customers with hundreds of suppliers, bisco has the opportunity to improve the overall user experience while boosting their own ROI.”
Clouda Inc, an e-commerce system integrator and VTEX partner, supported the launch of bisco’s B2B marketplace through the VTEX IO platform.
“The demand for digital B2B buying has seen exponential growth during the pandemic, so we’re excited to have a part in strengthening the B2B buying process through bisco’s new marketplace,” said Diyoda Mannapperuma, CEO at Clouda Inc.
