VTEX announces the third edition of its Accelerator

Since its inception in 2020, VTEX Accelerator has aimed to boost the development of global ecommerce markets in a collaborative manner by helping start-ups to reach their full potential. With this initiative, VTEX hopes to foster collaborative commerce and build a global digital ecosystem for this sector.

Throughout its previous two editions, VTEX Accelerator fomented important results, with a combined pool of 538 applications from more than 44 countries. Moreover, three winners and one finalist of the program — Usedesk, ChatCenter, Photoslurp, and BrainDW, respectively — have already transformed their ideas into fully functional solutions available on the VTEX App Store.

“Participating in VTEX Accelerator was a great experience for our company,” says Gonzalo Baez Veglia, co-founder at ChatCenter Network, one of the winners of VTEX Accelerator. “As winners, we had access to mentoring and ecommerce training. In parallel, the development of the partnership with VTEX allowed us to bring our solution to a global ecosystem of ecommerce operators."

Applications to the third edition of the VTEX Accelerator program are open between September 13th and November 14th. After a rigorous selection process that will take into account the solutions’ relevance for their regions and their maturity stages, 36 finalists will be chosen to compete in six final events taking place in December. Out of those, 18 start-ups will be crowned winners and will take part in the program starting on February 1st, 2022, benefitting from up to $10,000 USD equity-free grants to develop on the VTEX App Store, expert mentorship, technical support and visibility in the ecommerce ecosystem.

The final selection will be decided by an esteemed jury panel, which in the past has included Mariano Gomide, co-founder and co-CEO at VTEX, Geraldo Thomaz, co-founder and co-CEO at VTEX, Patricia Amaro, former Board Member at Unilever Spain, Gabriel Cabrera, former Latin America Regional Director at SONY and Francisco Ceballos, co-founder of MercadoLibre, just to name a few.
