Auchan is partnering with VTEX to expand online presence
May 16, 2022Bucharest, May 16th 2022 – Auchan is partnering with VTEX, the enterprise digital commerce platform for premier brands and retailers, through which it will integrate new functionalities for online shoppers in Romania. Thus, users will have an improved experience on all the devices used to shop on auchan.ro, when it comes to consulting the product offer and the methods of delivery. Consumers will also benefit from better shopping experiences and promotions with the MyCLUB Auchan loyalty card. Moreover, the possibility to activate services such as VTEX Live Shopping or subscription lists for recurring purchases will be provided in the future.
In the context of digital commerce acceleration, Auchan wants to offer its customers an excellent online shopping experience that complements the one they have in brick-and-mortar stores. The project to migrate for VTEX platform aims to complete the plan to update and improve the journey of the Auchan.ro store customers, by including comprehensive information for the listed products, which can be purchased on auchan.ro. Auchan will also expand the product range and further integrate benefits of the MyCLUB Auchan card. The company’s representatives estimate that, before the end of this year, the auchan.ro website will be fully integrated in the new platform.

Among the innovations that will be implemented is the possibility to combine several delivery methods for the same order, also the VTEX Live Shopping App and the subscription function for recurring shopping. A current trend of the digital commerce industry, live shopping or live streaming commerce is increasingly preferred by online consumers. This represents a live presentation of the product, in which users can ask questions about the products and simply buy them during the live event, in the ecommerce of the brand or retailer.
