Challenge
Loja Três is a well-established brand in the digital commerce landscape in Brazil, with its ecommerce representing over 55% of total sales. More than 90% of Loja Três products are manufactured in-house, and the brand has a commitment to the life cycle of each of its products – from the production stages to the arrival at the different sales channels.
Wishing to expand its capacity and deliver the same quality service overseas, Loja Três reached out to VTEX to build a cross-border operation enabling logistics from Brazil to Portugal and Spain.
There were many challenges associated with this big change, especially logistics, language, and currency switches that are necessary for the three websites.
Solution
For this to work, Loja Três tapped into the VTEX global ecosystem by partnering with the full commerce agency Go Cross in Europe and Wicomm in Brazil, to lead the implementation of the international ecommerce website.
Alongside Go Cross, the Customer Excellence and Technical Accounts teams at VTEX were able to:
- Create a multidomain environment, where each store can be set up independently. That means layouts, products, prices, and logistics, for example, can vary for each local store depending on its domain.
- Make the best out of localization and have automatic translations according to each region a new website is to be deployed.
- Implement different tax rules and shipment prices thanks to the VTEX OMS and the Promotions Module. That means that the same products can have different prices, different shipment times, and variety, available in one single system.
Today, the Loja Três team can manage these multicountries websites from one VTEX administrative panel, allowing the teams to have more visibility of stock and to access data that helps to plan for future launches.
“We found in the VTEX platform the chance to make the Loja Três dream possible, but we only reached the success of the project through the tireless support of the VTEX team that chose to dream together with us. The go-live day felt like Christmas morning.”

Results
The main result is the agility of the delivery. The product leaves the brand’s Distribution Center in Rio de Janeiro on a flight one day after the order is placed, goes through fullfilment in the city of Porto, and reaches the end customer in 5 days.
And the international store is on the fast lane to catching up with the Brazilian operation—the average ticket in Portugal is already 115% higher.
“We are investing in the brand’s outreach work with local influencers, tracking sales KPIs daily and have already observed a weekly order flow that each month is approaching our goal.”
