TETRIX: Largest business studies competition has applications open for participants worldwide

Promoted by VTEX, the Guinness World Records-listed contest aims to encourage students to pursue a digital career and improve their business knowledge April 11, 2022

RIO DE JANEIRO, April 11, 2022 – Applications are open for TETRIX’s 2022 edition, acknowledged as the largest business studies competition by Guinness World Records (GWR). The competition aims to inspire and encourage participants to pursue a digital career and improve their business knowledge. University students and people who have graduated in the last five years (between 2017 and 2021) from any course are eligible to apply. Applications are open until August 14, at tetrixchallenge.com.

“The exchange of cultures, ethnic groups and ideas provided by TETRIX has made the challenge increasingly relevant to the digital market. Inspiring, stimulating and developing talented young people is essential to accelerate the pace of digital transformation in companies and build a world in which development opportunities are more egalitarian among the different communities that constitute our ecosystem,” explains Mariano Gomide de Faria, founder and co-CEO of VTEX.

The challenge comprises 60 questions, divided into 4 phases, the first two being online. For the first time, in this edition, candidates will be able to choose a “career track” during the second phase, in which they will be able to focus on themes they feel more comfortable with. The semi-final and final phases, in which the participants are evaluated by industry personalities (called Senseis), will take place at the VTEX office in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on November 5 and 6.

Held in Rio de Janeiro, the final phase of the last edition, which Chilean Francisca Avaria won, had 24 finalists from eight different nationalities.

This is the fourth edition of TETRIX. In 2021, it had more than 154,000 participants from 84 countries, a record number of applications, which earned its recognition by Guinness World Records. Last year, women accounted for more than 64% of the total applicants.

Completely free of charge, the challenge rewards the winner with a trip around five continents. The person will be introduced to the latest in digital transformation through visits to big tech companies and participation in events and seminars on technology.

Promoted by VTEX, a digital commerce platform for large companies and retailers, and sponsored by Casa & Vídeo, the challenge fosters the digital ecosystem by building a valuable network of future-proof talents. These companies also have access to the participants who stood out the most, looking for future hiring opportunities.
