VTEX Named to the 2020 CB Insights Retail Tech 100 – Most Innovative B2B Retail Tech Companies

We’re delighted to announce that VTEX has received another industry recognition. Market intelligence firm CB Insights has just cited VTEX in its first annual Retail Tech 100 of the most Innovative B2B Retail Tech Companies. VTEX is a winner in the ecommerce infrastructure category. 

The 2020 Retail Tech 100 highlights companies across 13 categories that are reimagining the traditional retail experience and helping retailers adapt to a post-COVID world. This year’s winners hail from 21 countries.

“The rate of change in retail is accelerating, and the Retail Tech 100 showcases the tech companies that are changing every facet of retail,” said CB Insights CEO Anand Sanwal. “As we head into 2021, we are excited to see the impact the Retail Tech 100 will have on customers, retailers, and markets.” 

The CB Insights research team used an evidence-based approach to select the Retail Tech 100 from nearly 15,000 nominees and applicants, based on several factors including patent activity, business relations, investor profiles, news sentiment analysis, proprietary Mosaic scores, market potential, competitive landscape, team strength, and tech novelty.  

With this latest accolade, you can say that VTEX is on quite a roll. This latest honor is right on the heels of two other recent industry recognitions for VTEX: being named a Leader by IDC in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide B2C Digital Commerce Platforms 2020 Vendor Assessment; and being named as a “Visionary” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce 2020. In the last 10 months, VTEX raised USD $365 million in funding, bringing the company valuation to USD 1.7 billion and elevating its position to a tech unicorn. 

With more than 3,000 customers in over 45  countries, VTEX Commerce Platform  is catching on big time, among both B2B and D2C sellers alike, due to its ability to support new and emerging business models, like online marketplaces.

It’s clear that industry thought leaders, like CB Insights, are recognizing the market transition from legacy ecommerce platform providers to a next generation of digital commerce leaders, such as VTEX.
